AI training that starts from absolute zero

No jargon, no maths, no prior experience assumed. Half a day that moves a team from “we should probably do something with AI” to three concrete tasks it can hand over next week.

The course in short

Everything that usually decides it, before the detail below.

In detail

A four-hour introduction to using AI at work, written for people starting from zero. We explain how the models actually behave, practise on your own documents, and finish by naming three tasks from your own week that AI can take over.

What you will learn

  • How generative AI models work — in plain business language
  • What AI can reliably do today with text, images, data and files
  • Prompting that produces usable output instead of generic filler
  • How to spot hallucinations and verify what AI gives you
  • A shortlist of AI use cases pulled from your own daily work

Course structure

  1. 1What AI actually is
  2. 2What it can and cannot do today
  3. 3Prompting that produces usable output
  4. 4Verification and your own use cases

What you take away

  • A shortlist of three tasks per person that AI can take over immediately
  • Prompts that work on your own documents, not on generic examples
  • A simple rule for what always has to be checked before it is used
  • Shared vocabulary, so the team can discuss AI without guesswork

Who it is for

  • Teams with no AI experience
  • Managers deciding where to invest
  • Mixed-ability departments
  • Companies about to roll out AI tools

Optional extensions

  • Follow-up workshop focused on one department's tasks
  • Straight advice on which AI tools are worth paying for at your size

Who it is for

Built for these teams

Anyone whose week contains repetitive writing, reading or summarising — no technical background needed.

Teams with no AI experience

The default starting point. If your people have never used AI seriously at work, or tried it once and gave up, this is where to begin.

Managers deciding where to invest

You need to judge which proposals are realistic before committing budget. This gives you the vocabulary and the limits.

Mixed-ability departments

Some colleagues use AI daily, others have never opened it. The session is built to be useful in both directions and levels the team out.

Companies about to roll out AI tools

If licences are already bought or on the way, this is the training that decides whether they get used or quietly expire.

Before we start

What we need from you

Very little. The point of this course is that you do not need to prepare much.

  • For a workshop, a laptop per participant or one between two — people work the exercises themselves. For a lecture nobody needs one.
  • If we are on site, a room with a projector or a large enough screen — and if you have neither, we bring our own projector. If we are online, a video call with screen sharing.
  • Two or three real documents you work with regularly — a report, a policy, an offer, a spec. Nothing confidential is required, and nothing leaves the room.
  • A free account on any mainstream AI tool is enough — we do not need paid licences or API keys from you. If you already pay for licences, say so and we will run the session in those.
  • No technical background, no maths and no programming. If your team can use email, they can follow this.

Format

Lecture or workshop, on site or online

Four hours, as a lecture or a hands-on workshop, at your office or online — unlimited participants either way.

How we run it

Lecture

We present the topic and work through the examples on screen. Best when you want a whole department to understand what AI can do without everyone needing a laptop in front of them.

Workshop

Your people work on their own computers and build a real automation task themselves, while we move around the room and help each of them get it finished. Fewer topics covered, far more that sticks.

Where it runs

At your office

We come to you anywhere in Czechia or Slovakia and run the session in your own meeting room, on your own machines. If you have no projector, or no screen large enough for the room, we bring our own.

Online

The same session over video, screen-shared and recorded on request. Best for distributed teams, several sites at once, or when calendars are tight.

Split into blocks

Four hours in one sitting is the standard, but we can split the training into two two-hour blocks on separate days so it fits around your operations.

Because this course is the foundation for everything else, most companies take it as a lecture for the whole department at once — the discussion between colleagues is half the value and it works better in one room. If you would rather people leave having built something with their own hands, we run it as a workshop instead and cover fewer topics in more depth. Online works well when you need several branches on the same day.

Agenda

How the day runs

Roughly half explanation, half hands-on work on your own material.

00:00 – 00:45

What AI actually is

How generative models produce an answer, described without a single formula. Why they are confident when wrong, why they cannot look things up unless you connect them to something, and what genuinely changed in the last two years.

00:45 – 01:45

What it can and cannot do today

A tour of real capability across text, images, data and files — with the failure cases shown just as prominently as the wins. We work through examples from your own industry.

02:00 – 03:00

Prompting that produces usable output

The difference between a request that returns generic filler and one that returns something you would actually send. Context, role, format, examples and iteration — practised live on your documents.

03:00 – 04:00

Verification and your own use cases

How to check what the model gives you, when checking is not optional, and what to never delegate. We close by mapping three tasks from participants' real week onto AI, with a plan for who tries what first.

Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Our team has genuinely never used AI. Is this too advanced?

No — this is the course designed for exactly that. We assume zero prior exposure and no technical background. The first hour is spent building intuition before anyone is asked to type anything.

Some of our people already use ChatGPT daily. Will they be bored?

In our experience the confident users get the most out of the verification and prompting sections, because casual use tends to build habits that quietly produce poor results. If half your team is already advanced, tell us in advance and we will weight the agenda accordingly.

Do we need to buy AI licences before the training?

No. For a workshop, free accounts on any mainstream AI tool are enough, and we never need API keys from you. If you already pay for licences, tell us and we will run the session in those tools so people practise where they will actually work. If you are still deciding what to buy, this course is a good place to have that conversation — we will give you a straight answer about what is worth paying for at your size.

Will our documents or data be used to train anything?

No. We work on your material during the exercises and nothing is retained afterwards. If your policies require it, we can run the whole session on anonymised or sample documents instead.

What do people actually leave with?

A shared understanding of what the tools do, a set of prompts that work on your own material, and a shortlist of three tasks per participant that AI can take over immediately. Companies that complete five hours of training also receive an official eProvement certificate.
